We Want People to See the Heartbreaking Impact of Long Covid

Long Covid has changed so many people’s lives. Relationships have been affected. Many people have had to leave their careers, or had their education derailed. So many people of all ages are no longer able to do the things they love. And symptoms can deeply affect everyday life.

This year for Long Covid Awareness Month, we’re highlighting the impact of Covid on the heart and cardiac system. But no matter how Long Covid impacts you, one thing is certain: It comes with all sorts of heartbreak.

We want people to see the heartbreaking impact of Long Covid — so we’re planning a statement-making public awareness project for our International Long Covid Awareness Day events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal on March 15th.

Perspectives of people with Long Covid from across the country will be displayed and highlighted with an instantly recognizable graphic: a broken heart. This symbol of loss and grief underscores the impact Long Covid has had in the lives of so many — and our hope is it will speak volumes to the general public.

To bring this project to life, we need as many experiences as possible from across the country. We’re inviting everyone with Long Covid to share their perspective through the form below.

(In case we need to contact you; your email will not be shared.)

Note: We’ve had to set a character limit for responses to fit the printed design. If you wish to submit more than one experience, you are welcome to do so.
